About the role
Why this role exists
Bonsai is building the digital backbone of Dutch industry, and that story is worth telling. As a Content Creator you capture what we do: on the quay, in the warehouse, on site and back at the office.
You travel with us, shoot and edit it all yourself, and turn complex AI software into short-form content that lands on LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok. Plenty of creative freedom, and the room to build a recognisable style for the brand.
The role
What you'll do
You work with sales, delivery and the co-CEOs, with plenty of creative freedom.
- Create short-form video for LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok.
- Come along to clients and projects to capture the stories.
- Vlogs and behind-the-scenes content about building AI software.
- From concept and shooting to editing and publishing.
Your profile
What you bring
- Strong at both shooting and editing, with camera and phone.
- A feel for stories and for what works on social.
- Self-reliant: from idea to published video.
- Flexible and willing to travel with us.
A plus, not a requirement
- A portfolio of short-form content.
- Experience with B2B or tech content.
- Motion graphics or sound design.

Intro call
A 30-minute conversation with our recruiter.

A technical or practical case of 1 to 2 hours.

Good to know
Do you work remotely or in the office?
Hybrid. Our base is Rotterdam (Westblaak), where we see each other regularly. Beyond that you're free to work where you're productive.
Do I have to meet every requirement to apply?
No. If you recognise yourself in the role and most of the points, apply. We look at what you can do and how fast you learn, not at a checklist.
Which language do you work in?
Dutch in the office and with clients. Some of our work and documentation is in English. For most roles, fluent Dutch ranges from a strong advantage to a firm requirement.
Which AI tools do you use yourselves?
Claude Code, ChatGPT, Copilot and Figma, among others. We automate our own work as fanatically as the client's.
How quickly will I hear back after applying?
Usually within a few working days. The whole process, from questionnaire to final round, typically takes two to three weeks.
